End of the school year activities kicked off on May 9th with Academy students enjoying prom at the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego.  Students dined and danced the night away in their tuxedos and evening gowns.  Everyone looked fantastic!

In an 11-1 win over Calvary Christian on May 12th, Dragons baseball pitcher Brandon U. struck out 18 players!  The game was called after the sixth inning by the 10-run mercy rule.  Great job, Brandon!

To prepare graduating seniors for the world of work, three of the Academy’s Employer Advisory Board (EAB) members conducted interviews on May 27th with seven seniors.  This offered the seniors practice in interviewing and obtaining employment information, which will assist with job search and placement.  The EAB is interested in assisting the YES Program locate local employers to hire Academy students in their areas of interest or to offer them internship opportunities to gain experience.

Grad Night for the Class of 2008 took place on June 12th, with students enjoying six-hours of the best rides, live music, dancing and fun Disneyland has to offer!  Twenty-nine graduating seniors had a blast at the Magic Kingdom’s All-Night Grad party!
