Child Welfare Services

The County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency collaborates closely with the campus partners.  As part of the County’s Child Welfare Services (CWS), the San Pasqual Academy Team includes a Social Work Unit and an Administrative Unit.

The Social Work Unit consists of a Protective Services Supervisor and five Protective Services Workers, one of whom functions as a referral screener for the County.  This team of social workers manages the Academy youth’s dependency and supportive transition cases and advocates for the youth in Juvenile Court.  The Social Work Unit is located on the Academy campus, making them easily accessible to the youth and campus partners.

The Administrative Unit consists of a Manager and one CWS Policy Analyst. This group, located in central San Diego, provides contract oversight and facilitation between the campus partners as necessary.
